Your sunset sailing cruise begins with check-in at the Port Douglas Meridien Marina. Once you board the luxury catamaran, you will be greeted with a complimentary drink of your choice from a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including white, red and sparkling wine and beer. Then, start your 1.5-hour journey along the beautiful Coral Sea.

Relax and unwind as you sail past the beautiful coral cay islands to the east of Port Douglas. You’ll be served a gourmet selection of hot and cold canapés while enjoying incredible views of the waterways and mountains against a stunning tropical sunset. Head to the viewing decks for great photo opportunities to capture this unforgettable moment!

My husband and I have just done our third Sailaway Sunset Cruise, always include it in every visit to Port Douglas as it's always a highlight, beautiful catamarans, scenery, vibe and staff always delightful. We have also done the Low Isles cruise and have had different weather conditions on all the trips, some perfect conditions some not so perfect but loved each experience and being out on the ocean. Could'nt recommend this experience more highly, we will always be back to do another cruise with Sailaway!

Relaxing evening with a chilled vibe! Skipper abs crew were hospitable and cheerful! Got splashed on the front deck, which was pleasant (we were sitting next to the net). Highly recommend this for a chilled evening watching the sunset!

Enjoyed cruise even though we didn’t get a sunset due to overcast weather. Captain and support staff very good and interactive. However would not recommend cruise for anyone who suffers seasickness due to potential bouncy conditions. Gave average due to lack of sunset and bumpy ride. Still enjoyable.

My friend and I did the sunset river cruise which left PD at 5pm. Get there at 430 to board and get in first. You need to take your shoes off so don’t wear anything fancy. We were greeted by three young and friendly crew members. Our skipper Jake was relaxed, professional and fun! The girls Eliza and Caitlin were great. They brought us drinks while we sat next to the captain on some comfy cushions looking out on the water. Highly recommend boarding first to secure these seats! Nibbles were tasty and varied, mostly vegetarian. Sufficient for the time it takes to sail out and back. It was a little windy, and coolish so recommend taking a hair tie and maybe a light jacket. If you sit at the front of the boat you’re guaranteed to get splashed by water which is super refreshing on a warm day. Plenty of space, not overcrowded, nor did it feel rushed or basic. Highly recommend! Would definitely go back 10 times.

Whilst the seas were a little choppy and the clouds hid the setting sun, the trip out and back from the marina was well managed by the skipper and staff. Canapés and complimentary drinks were tasty and much appreciated
