Excellent Tour! Juan....the guide is very knowledgeable, passionate and compassionate and a consumate storyteller....bringing the Kuku-Yalanji culture and history to life! I highly recommend this small group tour. Juan covers a lot of territory in half a day....chock full of interesting facts and stories not to mention the stunning scenery! ....and it is a lot of fun!

Delightful couple of guys in Juan and Harry, who were passionate and knowledgeable about their country and customs. Bush tucker and bush medicine from nearly every tree and plant. After 60,000 odd years the Aboriginals have learnt a thing or two and the knowledge is passed on with no written language. Remarkable. A great experience. Highly recommended.

Great family tour. Our kids are only 3 and 5yr old so we decided on the half day Cape Trib private tour. Our host Aaron was fantastic with the kids. Our little ones were shy to start with (which they always are) and by the end they were copying Aaron and walking in his shadow. Matter of fact for the rest of our stay in the Daintree as we were walking around they both had walking sticks and were playing ‘tourist guide’ mimicking him! We are from central Queensland and choose Walkabout as we wanted and authentic indigenous tour. So happy with the day and will definitely recommend it

Juan was super knowledgeable and personable. We learnt so much about a variety of subjects and saw the whole area from a different perspective. We saw a local croc called Howard, swam in an secret freshwater spot, picked pipi’s off the beach, did some spear hunting and even cooked up our spoils at his Mum place! Our teens were so engaged as were we as Juan shared his knowledge. Highly recommend!

Fantastic day with Aaron in October. We had booked the Daintree sightseeing trip unaware that this was more of stopping at famous spots and not supposed to have an emphasis on the cultural aspects as their other tour at Mossman Gorge. However, Aaron was incredibly kind and informative, sharing his passion and knowledge for the region which he and his family have traditionally own for millenia, whilst also showing us the landmark sites. He shared parts of his culture, taught us about local animals and plant life and their significance and uses and he even squeezed in time to try to teach the two of us how to throw a spear on the beach. A truly informative and unforgettable experience which we cannot recommend enough. Don't miss out and support this wonderful local outfit!!

Aaron was a fantastic, enthusiastic guide. We weren't bored for a second. There is no way you could learn as much on your own as you could with Aaron. He was so informative and answered all of our questions and opened up our minds & hearts to the Daintree. We would highly recommend doing a tour with Walkabout & Aaron.

Great half day tour with Aaron who was very knowledgeable about the local culture and made the effort to engage our 4.5year old so that she enjoyed the tour as well. He even spotted a crocodile and cassowary for us - we really enjoyed the cultural aspects too of using bush plants for medicinal purposes and our 4.5year old especially enjoyed being able to get paint out of ochre for painting her arms. Definitely would recommend booking one of the Walkabout tours if you are in the Daintree region!
