A magical experience that was both educational and serene. Murray shared his vast knowledge of the Daintree River to ensure our two hours in his company just flew by. We learned much about the history of the river and its flora and fauna. We saw beautiful birds, found snakes and even got the croc experience. His passion for the river was infectious and his attention to detail and ensuring we enjoyed ourselves was very much appreciated. It was a great way to start the day and well worth the hour trip from Port Douglas. What a place. What a tour. Highly recommended

Absolutely brilliant tour! Not a commercial crocodile spotting adventure, but an educational experience with lots of opportunities for some awesome photos. Great for photographers of any experience or just lovers of nature and wildlife. Murray is without doubt a passionate advocate for his beloved Daintree River and is full of knowledge. Definitely worth every cent. Worth getting up at 04.00hrs to drive to Daintree village from Cairns. Thank you for the memories and the opportunity to make new friends.

Murray is really knowledgeable and could spot things to see from a great distance. Goes out of his way to try and locate things that all guests would like to see

Murray’s expertise with the knowledge of Crocs and birdlife nd history of the Daintree river was awesome. My husband & I learnt HEAPS and we saw many beautiful birds & Croc behaviour. The atmosphere was tranquil also…would highly recommend 😊

Murray was a fantastic guide. He had a wealth of information on all the flora and fauna we were lucky enough to see. His boat is well set up for all weathers, with a canopy he can pull up quickly if raining. It rained a bit, but this just added to the atmosphere. The boat is nice and quiet, enabling you to approach the birds without scaring them off. He stayed on the water longer in order to do his best to find a crocodile for us and his efforts paid off! Our two girls (aged 9 and 12) were fascinated by everything he had to say and loved the tour. Thanks Murray for a wonderful unforgettable morning.

Murray was incredibly knowledgeable and incredibly generous with his time and expertise. The boat was comfortable and wouldn’t seat very many rolls, meaning you get a much more personal and tailored experience. Across three different cruises, he shared the riches of the Daintree River with us, from crocs and snakes to the many many different species of bird, with views that should satisfy many people even without binoculars or long lenses! For the birdwatchers out there, Murray’s encyclopaedic knowledge of his patch, the birds, and their habits are a must-have and you won’t get that on the larger cruises. He got us brilliant views of Papuan Frogmouths, Black Bitterns, Jabiru, and kingfishers!

For my 65th birthday I was treated by my daughter and her partner to a dawn cruise with Murray. His boat is very stable and perfect to photograph from. His knowledge of the plants and birds along the Daintree River is astounding. And he found us a 4m female crocodile to say hello to! The dawn cruise means you are welcomed by water that is as smooth as glass and the low lying mist in the hills is spectacular. I highly recommend this adventure on the river.

Excellent dawn cruise with Murray, who made this experience really special with his wealth of knowledge about the area and the wildlife. The Boat is small and comfortable and very quite, which made for some serene cruising and some close up views of the wildlife. A very relaxing way to start your day in the Daintree area. Highly recommended.

My partner and I took an early morning cruise departing Daintree Village, beautiful at this time of day before the heat sets in, though the boat has a lovely shade if needed - we didn’t as the breeze was great for us! Murray expertly guided us through the freshwater and saltwater section of the river, pointing out a number of trees, shrubs, wildlife and birds. We were lucky enough to see a Papuan Frogmoth, Kingfishers , Black Butcherbirds, Yellow Orieles, Sea Eagles and lots of variations of Egret. (Handy checklist to help you keep note of what you’ve spotted). At this time of year crocs are unlikely, which we knew before booking, however we think it would have just been a bonus! The boat cruise itself was jam-packed full of other goodies, so we were chuffed even despite there being no crocs today. Thanks for a memorable trip out on the water Murray! Favourite shot was the water gum reflections!

What an outstanding tour guide. The boat and number of people was just the right size for this trip out. His knowledge of the flora and fauna was outstanding! Due to the time of year it was hard to spot any crocs, however he did not fail! Over all a great trip to do if your in the local area for the evening. Thanks for a great trip Murray.
