We went to the Daintree to see crocodiles and other wildlife and we ticked all the boxes, thanks to Crocodile Express. We did 2 cruises which represented great value - one on the upper and one on the lower Daintree River. On each cruise we saw a big male and 2 female crocodiles. We also saw tree snakes and lots of bird life. We recommend we use these folks when visiting Daintree as the 2 combined boat tours represent great value and you are sure to see the beg fellows.

Justin was an experienced skipper and tour guide. He took his time taking us through the river to spot crocodiles. We did see two on our journey but we had ample time to take photos and learn more about them.

Great trip on the Daintree this morning and planning to go on another this afternoon. The tour guide was very informative and we saw three crocodiles. Great experience and good value for money.

As a first timer in this area, what a great introduction to Daintree. I was unsure about this one because of the two reviews I read BUT after deciding to go with them because of the roomy boat I was not disappointed. The tour boat driver was very good with lots of information about the river and the animals that live there.

Great family cruise. Lots of room to move on the boat to see the female croc hiding on the bank. Yarn the guide was great with the kids explaining things (helpful for us adults too). There was a local pass we took advantage of for extra trips in the future. Good day for us.

Do not do this cruise at this time of year if you want to see Crocodiles. The cruise will end up being a drawn out process that consists of laminated pictures of crocs and a disinterested monotone tour guide. The river is beautiful, however, I do not believe it should be called crocodile express. I do understand it is nature and the outcome can sometimes not be controlled. This should be stated before purchase or stop running tours when there is no chance of seeing a crocodile.

This was part of a full day tour and was the only disappointing part of the day. The boat driver (to unprofessional to be called a tour guide) seemed more interested in getting back to his fishing. He asked if we needed some antidepressants because the group was quiet, told us that people needed to understand you shouldn’t go out expecting to see a croc in summer.. it is like going whale watching in Hervey Bay when it’s not whale season. This poses one big question, why are the croc tours still running in summer? That said, he did also mention that the operators closer to the river mouth have more crocs due to more feed in that area, so might be worth trying one of them instead.

Bill was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable about the area and we got to see a large and small crocodiles in the wild.
