Highly Recommend Calypso for Reef snorkelling Tour. I believe this trip was a bit more crowded than usual due to one boat being out of action - but it seriously didnt impact on the experience. Trip out was an experience - headed straight into storm/rain clouds, but was no problem - once through and moored at first dive site was amazing. All care taken into fitting of masks/snorkels/fins etc - then out into the water. Morning tea provided - hot coffee and cakes! Second site could join a snorkel tour - where a guide would discuss the reef and the marine life. Lunch was plentiful. Third site amazing also. Staff very friendly and always there to help if needed. Thankyou for a wonderful experience

Definitely do the intro dive! We ended up doing two intro dives and snorkeling. The crew (shout out to Alex!) was great and helped us feel comfortable trying out something new. We were so close to the reef and fish even when snorkeling. Make sure you take your sea sickness meds! The long bumpy ride was worth it.

Crew was amazing! Looked after us well! Amazing trip even though the sky was cloudy and water was choppy the crew made us feel very reassured and comfortable swimming in the reef. Was fed well!

The team at Calypso is amazing, they were so accommodating for anyone that was feeling sick on the ride. They also were so informative and happy to help guide the snorkelers, they moved so quickly and got everything ready.. the whole experience was amazing. A special mention to Pamela (Pam), for taking extra care of anyone that was not confident in the waters. 10/10 experience

I went along with my friend and what a surprise and delight we experienced from the tour. The 3 reefs we stopped us made us feel capable of more such snorkel but the highlight was the guided tour with the staff (Kiwi Guy ) was knowledgeable, friendly and very caring for people that did not feel comfortable swimming. We really enjoyed the talk with a very passionate young man and we both walked away with so much information and knowledge of sea information we had never experienced from other snorkelling tours in the Whitsundays! Highly recommend this tour and will tell many others for future tours in Port Douglas.

What an awesome day snorkelling 3 amazing reefs on the Calypso Outer Great Barrier Reef Cruise from Port Douglas. Professional friendly team, highly knowledgeable. An array of sea life, fishes, sting ray, turtle and coral combined with perfect conditions, equals an amazing experience. Even lucky enough to spot a pod of dolphins on the way back. The end to a perfect day! Thank you Calypso your staff are truly amazing! A must do tour, highly recommend.

What an amazing day with Calypso tours!! The most friendly staff who really made everyone feel safe and welcome. You get taken out to 3 different dive / snorkel areas (all beautiful), morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea included, photography available for purchase if you like as well. Such an amazing vibe and for someone who was apprehensive about going I absolutely felt safe and had so much fun !! Thank you Calypso team 👍🏼👍🏼

    • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
    • Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
    • Environmental Management Charge of $6.50 per person is payable on day of travel. It is not included in amount paid to Trip Advisor Experiences. Please note, this amount increases to $7 on 1st April 2020. Any bookings made for travel after 1st April 2020, EMC will be included in price.
    • Diving within 48 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor
    • Additional dives may be booked and paid for on board (subject to availability). Maximum of three dives in a day.
    • Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted to dive.
    • Evidence of dive certification is required from all divers wishing to participate in a certified dive
    • Children must be accompanied by an adult
    • If its raining on your day of travel, the tour will still go ahead. If Calypso cancels due to poor weather, mainly high winds, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
    • Cancellation fees may apply if less than 24 hours notice is given prior to departure
