Itinerary

Stop At: Sailaway Shop 18, 44 Wharf Street Sailaway - Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina, Port Douglas, Queensland 4877 Australia

After pickup at your hotel in Port Douglas, head to the Reef Marina where you are welcomed aboard the deluxe catamaran, one of the only boat operators permitted to visit the coral cays of the Low Isles.

Start your afternoon adults-only cruise with tea, coffee and light lunch while your expert crew prepares to set sail for the Low Isles. As you glide along, enjoy the tropical breeze and scenery from the catamaran’s large outdoor decks or spacious interior cabin.

When you arrive at the Low Isles, have several hours to do as much or as little as you like. From the beach, you can easily hop into the water and snorkel around the sheltered lagoon’s coral gardens. Beginning snorkelers and people who do not feel comfortable in the ocean can enjoy snorkeling here knowing that you are just steps away from shore.

Learn more about the iridescent fish and colorful corals of the Great Barrier Reef during a guided snorkeling tour led by a marine biologist. You also get an excellent underwater viewing experience with expert commentary on the glass-bottom boat tour, a perfect option for those who prefer to stay dry. Throughout the day, the attentive crew ensures that you experience a safe and enjoyable excursion.

Refuel with afternoon tea, or a glass of wine or beer and canapes served on board the catamaran before returning to Port Douglas. On the return journey, have your camera ready to snap photos of a tropical sunset over the Coral Sea.

Your premium sailing experience ends when you are returned to your hotel after a magical afternoon sail to the Low Isles.

An awesome experience which was made even more enjoyable by the friendly and knowledgeable captain & crew. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to see some of this amazing piece of nature in just half a day. The sunset sail back home was great and you can never go wrong with an open bar!

So much fun and the crew skipper Jacque and the two lady deck hands made the day so special. We were very fortunate that the day was not to hot but not enough wind to go under sail. I thought it was great value as the food & drinks were more than expected. I did a cruise like this 32 years ago and yesterday didn’t disappoint me again. Well worth it

Excellent service! Highly recommend. Jake, Caitlin & Maura, were all fantastic. Their knowledge of the area was great and they went above & beyond to help make our day the best it could be. I would give 8 out of 5 stars if I could. Also a thank you to the helpful Odette in the office who made to booking process so much easier.

This is the most relaxing day on the reef. You get picked up at lunchtime where a spread of food and drinks are waiting for you as you board the vessel. You then slowly motor out of the marina before setting the sails and heading for the Low Isles. When you get out to the reef you get a choice of standard or beginners snorkelling - both giving you an excellent experience on the reef. On the island you can hangout on the beach or do the informative guided walk learning about the history and eco projects underway. Then my favorite part... we reboard Sailaway V (via a glass bottom boat transfer) where we are welcomed with canapes and free flowing bar. As the sun starts to retreat, the sails are reset and we sail back to the marina whilsyt enjoying the amazing backdrop of sunset. Trully awesome experience. Tank you Sailaway

I wanted to write a review as had the cruise sail yesterday and was just PERFECT. Was the full day snorkelling and sailing. The staff and skipper were brilliant and so hard working and accomodating the entire day. The safety and efficiency of the day was very impressive, the fresh lunch and food provided was excellent quality and the total chilled vibe of the day was just what everyone wants. If you see other low island options please choose this one! With a smaller group it was less hectic, relaxed and everyone chatted away and got to know each other by the end of the day. The boat is also stunning and I felt like I was a millionaire with such a stunning sail boat to chill on. Cold beers served in the afternoon. The snorkelling and reef was also very impressive and felt very safe and relaxed. Can’t recommend this enough. Thank you Joel and your crew. You were wonderful!

Awesome experience, staff were great, it was extremely organised, food was delicious and enjoyed the few wines on way back. It was a bit rough heading to and from island so I recommend sitting up front however you do get wet. Weather was beautiful so we didn’t mind getting splashed added to the fun.
