With an absolute beachfront position, the award winning two-stored villa is enclosed by Moroccan inspired adobe rendered walls creating a compound which is entered through intricately carved vintage Indian doors, creating a very private and intimate experience.

Once you step through the entrance you will be struck by the expansive use of distressed recycled timbers, Burmese teak floorboards, vintage ships brass lighting and Moroccan limestone set against the tropical gardens. The reading alcove that adjoins the central courtyard, cabana and hand-tiled pool, is the perfect place to nestle back amongst the handcrafted tribal cushions and relax with a book or just take in the atmosphere.

Spice features air-conditioning and ceiling fans throughout all bedrooms and living areas. It can also be completely opened to the elements with bi-fold doors and windows throughout, welcoming the ocean breeze and natural light in. The gourmet kitchen, lounge, outdoor sunroom and master bedroom and bathroom all open up to the magnificent ocean view. Step out onto the level tropical garden that leads a few steps to the chalky white sands of pristine Oak Beach.

You will not be able to resist diving into the award winning hand-tiled pool, which sparkles in the tropical sun. Then wind down with a cool drink in the cabana, with its queen-sized swinging day bed, loungers, and deck chairs.

Spice At Oak offers outstanding entertainment and comfort. The lounge opens up completely to the beach and has an oversized sofa, coffee table, plasma TV and Foxtel, as well as a sound system throughout the house and cabana.

With pool and ocean views, the gourmet kitchen is a chefs delight. Consisting of a massive island bench facing the beach and separate casual eating bench opening up to the pool area, you will be spoilt for choice. The butlers pantry with its own bench and sink is separate from the gourmet kitchen and keeps both areas clutter-free.

The outdoor sunroom is located upstairs offering an outstanding view over the palm trees and across Oak Beach. A stunning space to escape to with lounge, armchairs, oversized Indian teak table, and sound system. It adjoins the luxurious master bedroom and ensuite.

When all the bi-fold window and doors are opened in the main bedroom and ensuite with bath, you will feel as though you are in the most decadent rainforest treehouse. This oceanfront bedroom offers a king size bed with plasma TV and Foxtel as well as a large walk-in closet.

There are three other stunning sleeping quarters available, one offering king bed and private tropical garden, one king bed (or two king singles) with mountain views and one queen with ocean views. All these have bathrooms conveniently adjoining.

The Beach : Spice is absolute beachfront. Oak Beach is 1.5km of postcard-perfect white sand, coconut palms and gently lapping waves. The fishing is truly special (off the beach and offshore). And the walks to the northern end of the beach are a beachcombers delight. And yet, most days, you'll only see a handful of people at most. You're more likely to see dolphins and turtles. Are you sure you need to go anywhere else?

The Town : Fine restaurants, luxury shopping, golf courses, everyday essentials, bars and nightclubs are 10 minutes drive away in the sophisticated yet casual resort village of Port Douglas.

20 minutes in the other direction is exclusive Palm Cove with a bevy of fine dining options.

The Reef : Port Douglas is the closest port to the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef with boats departing daily for scuba diving, snorkeling or fishing.

The Rainforest : Oak Beach is situated in a World Heritage-listed rainforest and close to idyllic rainforest tours of the Mossman Gorge, Daintree Forest and Cape Tribulation.

The Tablelands : The nearby Atherton Tablelands, rated by National Geographic as the healthiest climate in the world makes a great half-day or full day excursion of food and wine trails, wildlife watching and walks.
